Hi, Team.
In this episode of The Amazing Runner’s World Show, Jeff is joined by Mallory Creveling, deputy health and fitness editor, to talk about useful ways to employ a treadmill. Then we give a sneak peek at some really neat features of the new Wahoo Kickr Run treadmill. And, finally we answer a member’s question about cross-training for a race to prevent blisters. In answering that, we highlight Parker Valby, who’s had national-level success by cross-training frequently. We also point out the best socks to help reduce your risk of blisters and even mention research that suggests a second pair of shoes can help you avoid injury. In the previous episode of The Amazing Runner’s World Show, Jeff and Aly shared tips from a recent article about how marathoners over the age of 50 stay in racing shape, plus talked about those that we’ve employed in our own training. We also discussed some helpful strategies to make summer running more enjoyable—and to keep your gear from getting too stinky. And, finally, we shared the benefits of always wearing sunglasses and look at a couple of our favorite new pairs, including some affordable prescription sunglasses.
